Gen. Christopher Musa, Chief of Defence Staff, has urged a closer alliance between the military and judiciary to protect discipline and fairness in military justice. Speaking at the launch of the book “Annotation of Cases on Court Martial,” he emphasized that discipline is the foundation of military professionalism and warned against treating military law like civil law.
Gen. Musa highlighted concerns over civil court verdicts weakening military discipline and pledged ongoing engagement between Defence HQ and courts to ensure swift, fair justice amid modern security challenges. The book was hailed as a vital reference to enhance consistency, transparency, and professionalism in court-martial processes under Nigeria’s democracy.
