Judiciary staff union presses for action as strike over promotions and training enters third week.
The Osun chapter of the Judiciary Staff Union of Nigeria (JUSUN) expressed frustration with Chief Judge Adepele Ojo’s refusal to engage on their strike, now in its third week. The strike, which started on Sept. 19, demands prompt promotions and staff training. JUSUN Chairman Idris Adeniyan criticized the Chief Judge’s absence since strike commencement, calling for urgent solutions to safeguard staff welfare and public service. A meeting with the Nigerian Bar Association is scheduled to seek a peaceful resolution.
