Adekunle Omoyele survives deadly ambush as gunmen target local security chief.
Adekunle Omoyele, Commander of Osun Amotekun Corps, narrowly escaped an assassination attempt on Monday night on Ikirun Road, Osogbo. Gunmen opened fire on his vehicle riddled with bullets, and masked assailants also reportedly stormed his residence. Omoyele sustained gunshot injuries and is receiving treatment under protection. The corps urges calm and community vigilance, warning that the attack targets the symbol of local security. Police investigations are ongoing.
