Governor Bassey Otu led a NUGA delegation to inspect the UJ Esuene Stadium and other facilities in Calabar, assuring the state is fully prepared and safe to host the 2026 Nigerian Universities Games Association (NUGA). Otu described Calabar as a peaceful, youth-friendly city with a rich football legacy and promised the event will be a huge success. Executive Secretary Dorncklaimz Enamhe lauded Calabar’s top sports facilities, while UNICAL pledged world-class hosting. The countdown begins for a memorable festival blending sports, culture, and unity.
