EKITI AGRO-ALLIED INTERNATIONAL CARGO AIRPORT APPROVED FOR SCHEDULED FLIGHT OPERATIONS

Nigeria greenlights Ekiti airport for commercial flights, boosting agribusiness and regional development.

The Federal Government, through Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA), has approved scheduled flight operations at Ekiti Agro-Allied International Cargo Airport for an initial six-month period, effective October 4, 2025. The approval permits daytime Visual Flight Rules (VFR) operations as the airport works toward full certification. Governor Biodun Oyebanji hailed the milestone, highlighting its potential to drive agribusiness, tourism, commerce, and medical tourism, positioning Ekiti State as a prime destination for investment and lifestyle.
