Nigerians unite to defend Dangote Refinery and fight cartel control over oil refining.
Thousands of Nigerians under the ‘Mega Citizens’ Rally Against Sabotage in Petroleum’ marched peacefully in Kaduna, condemning attacks on the Dangote Refinery and local refining efforts. Conveners called sabotage a national threat, accusing vested cartels and PENGASSAN of destabilizing Nigeria’s refinery sector. Rally speakers urged President Tinubu to ensure fair crude supply prices and enact laws protecting local refining from import cartels. Drawing lessons from the collapse of Kaduna’s textile industry, they warned the oil sector could face irreversible damage without urgent action. The movement pledged continuous mobilization until the refinery and local industries are fully safeguarded.
