In Gombe, First Lady Oluremi Tinubu unveiled the Flow With Confidence initiative under her Renewed Hope Initiative (RHI), distributing a year’s supply of sanitary pads to 10,000 girls in each Nigerian state and the FCT. The program aims to end stigma, promote menstrual hygiene, and keep girls in school, especially in rural areas. Backed by over ₦2.5 billion, the project also includes education on menstrual health and strict measures to prevent diversion of supplies. Government officials and community leaders pledged support to sustain this transformative effort.
