Federal High Court in Warri steps in to pause tinted glass permit enforcement amid legal challenge.
The Federal High Court sitting in Warri has directed the Nigeria Police Force and the Inspector-General of Police to maintain the status quo by suspending enforcement of the tinted glass permit policy pending full court hearing. The order follows Suit No. FHC/WR/CS/103/2025 filed by John Aikpokpo-Martins challenging the legality of the policy. Senior Advocate Kunle Edun argued for halting enforcement to uphold the rule of law. The court warned the police to respect judicial processes and refrain from using the policy for extortion while legal proceedings continue.
