Edo and Delta police enforce siren ban and tinted glass permit rules from October 2.
The Zone Five Police Command covering Edo and Delta states has started enforcing the ban on unauthorized sirens and tinted glass regulations. Motorists must register tinted vehicles at http://www.possap.gov.ng and verify physically at state commands or remove tints. The ban also covers revolving lights, unallocated number plates, and unregistered vehicles. Police urged professionalism in enforcement, warning against harassment and promising sanctions for erring officers. Motorists are encouraged to cooperate and report abuses to police or CRUs. The move aligns with the Motor Vehicles (Prohibition of Tinted Glass) Act 2004 to enhance security.
