In partnership with the University of Ilorin Teaching Hospital, Smile Train has provided 250 free cleft lip and palate surgeries in Kwara State over 18 years. Prof. AbdulRasheed Nasir highlighted the program’s focus on quality care, psychological support, and outreach to underserved communities. The initiative ensures children access surgery without financial burdens, backed by multidisciplinary medical teams and ongoing training. Community leaders praised the life-saving impact, pledging support for sustained awareness and treatment expansion.
