In his 65th Independence Day broadcast, President Bola Tinubu praised Nigeria’s youth as the nation’s key to future prosperity, urging them to dream big and innovate in tech, arts, sports, and science. He highlighted the disbursement of nearly ₦100 billion in student loans via NELFUND and N30 billion in affordable credit to support vehicles, solar energy, and digital access. New initiatives like YouthCred and iDICE are empowering NYSC members and creative sectors. Tinubu acknowledged economic hardships caused by reforms but stressed they lay a solid foundation for food security, education, electricity, and safer communities. He called on all levels of government to boost productivity and champion “Made-in-Nigeria” goods for a self-reliant future.
