Movement calls for justice and stronger security amid rising violence threatening Nigerians.
The Obidient Movement has strongly condemned the senseless murder of 29-year-old Arise TV anchor Somtochukwu Maduagwu, describing it as a tragic reflection of Nigeria’s ongoing insecurity crisis. Leaders Dr Yunusa Tanko and Nana Kazaure urged a thorough investigation to bring the killers to justice while calling on the government to prioritize the safety of all citizens, especially journalists risking their lives for truth. The movement stressed the need for urgent actions against violent crimes, kidnappings, and robberies to restore peace and protect lives nationwide. They reaffirmed their commitment to justice, human rights, and national unity, standing in solidarity with Somtochukwu’s family and the media community.
