Over a million Nigerians complete physical registration in ongoing voter drive.
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) announced 6.2 million online pre-registrations in its ongoing Continuous Voter Registration, with physical registrations surpassing one million as of September 28. Females made up 52.15% of the online figures, with youths aged 18-34 representing the largest group. Students and Persons with Disabilities also showed strong participation. Completed registrations include over 537,000 online and 466,000 in-person finalizations, with a majority being women and youths. The robust turnout reflects Nigerians’ growing confidence in the electoral process ahead of future elections.
