FG BROKERS PEACE BETWEEN PENGASSAN AND DANGOTE REFINERY

Strike called off as workers to be redeployed with no pay loss; union rights respected.

The Federal Government has resolved the dispute between PENGASSAN and Dangote Petroleum Refinery after a two-day conciliation meeting. The agreement includes immediate redeployment of over 800 affected workers into other Dangote subsidiaries without loss of pay. It was affirmed that unionisation is a legal right and no worker will face victimisation for the dispute. PENGASSAN agreed to begin calling off its strike, with both parties pledging to implement the resolutions in good faith.
