Minister Umahi urges Nigerians to recognize monumental progress on the 700km coastal highway project.
Minister of Works, Sen. Dave Umahi, alongside political leaders and civil society, inspected the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway, emphasizing its role in connecting western and southeastern Nigeria to boost trade and development. The highway, crossing Ogun, Ondo, Edo, Delta, Bayelsa, Rivers, and Akwa Ibom, is over 70% complete with full delivery expected by January 2026. Chief Segun Showunmi called for national unity around such development efforts, pledging critical oversight on behalf of Nigerians. Umahi stressed this project as a key national investment reflecting President Bola Tinubu’s vision.
