Party vows no intimidation and calls for justice as political tensions escalate.
The Labour Party in Edo State has condemned the brutal assault on its National Chairman, Julius Abure, at Abuja’s Nnamdi Azikiwe Airport and Benin Airport by content creator Precious Oruche, aka Mama P. State Chairman Elizabeth Ativie demanded the immediate arrest of the attacker and investigation into her alleged sponsors, warning the party won’t tolerate intimidation or humiliation. Abure’s tenure, renewed in 2024, remains valid, with the party calling on Peter Obi to ensure his supporters stay united and informed. The incident underscores growing political tensions within the party, but LP insists on legal actions and peaceful resolutions.
