ASCSN CONDEMNS DANGOTE REFINERY’S ANTI-WORKER ACTIONS

Union demands reinstatement of sacked workers and warns of joining full national strike.

The Association of Senior Civil Servants of Nigeria (ASCSN) has strongly condemned Dangote Refinery for arbitrarily dismissing workers exercising their constitutional right to unionize. ASCSN National President Shehu Mohammed called the action a violation of Nigeria’s Constitution and ILO conventions and expressed solidarity with TUC and PENGASSAN in demanding reinstatement. Mohammed warned that if the issue is not resolved soon, ASCSN may join nationwide industrial action, stressing no employer can trample on workers’ rights in Nigeria’s democracy.
