Union warns against anti-worker actions, threatens national strike if demands ignored.
The Trade Union Congress of Nigeria (TUC) has condemned the alleged sack of Dangote Petroleum Refinery workers for joining PENGASSAN, calling it unconstitutional and anti-worker. TUC Secretary General Nuhu Toro demands their immediate reinstatement, a public apology, and an independent investigation involving the Ministry of Labour and ILO. Toro warned that affiliates are on red alert and a nationwide industrial action may be triggered if demands are unmet, stressing no corporation can trample on Nigerian workers’ rights.
