Operation DELTA SANITY II scores big against crude oil theft in Warri South.
The Nigerian Navy’s Forward Operating Base (FOB) Escravos has deactivated six illegal refining sites in Obodo Omadino Community, Delta State. This was part of a coordinated effort between Sept. 3 and 24 under Operation DELTA SANITY II, aimed at ridding maritime spaces of illegal activities. Navy Capt. Ikenna Okoloagu reported that about 11,550 litres of stolen crude oil were seized, with equipment like pumps and hoses recovered. The operation aligns with Chief of Naval Staff Vice Adm. Ikechukwu Ogalla’s directive to clamp down on crude oil theft and boost Nigeria’s oil production.
