Deadly bandit raid shakes Ogba-Ayo community, sparking urgent calls for increased security.

At dawn Sunday, armed gunmen attacked Ogba-Ayo in Kwara’s Ifelodun LGA, killing the Baale, his two children, and dozens more, while many residents fled in fear. The attackers struck swiftly, overwhelming local defenses, including forest guards who bravely resisted but suffered casualties. Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq expressed deep sorrow and urged for a stronger military presence in Kwara South and North. The Nigerian Army has deployed the 2 Division General Officer Commanding to bolster security and coordinate operations against bandits.
