Asante Kotoko defeated Kwara United 1-0 at the MKO Abiola Sports Complex in Abeokuta, ending the Nigerian side’s continental hopes. After a thrilling 4-3 win in Accra last week, Kotoko’s Hubert Gyau scored the decisive goal early in the second half. Despite Kwara’s dominance and relentless pressure, they couldn’t break the Kotoko defense. The Ghanaian club advances to face Wydad Casablanca while Kwara United exit at the preliminary stage.
