ILO REPORT WARNS PERSISTENT INEQUALITIES SLOW GLOBAL SOCIAL JUSTICE PROGRESS

Despite gains in poverty and child labor reduction, disparities hold back true equality.

The ILO’s “State of Social Justice 2025” shows extreme poverty and child labor have declined, but 71% of workers’ earnings still depend on birthplace and gender. With 58% workforce in informal jobs and minimal gender pay gap progress, ILO calls for urgent action to ensure fair economic gains and inclusive opportunities worldwide.
