Nigeria champions dignity and multilateral action for lasting peace in Palestine.
At the 80th UN General Assembly, President Bola Tinubu, represented by Vice-President Kashim Shettima, reaffirmed Nigeria’s support for the two-state solution as the most dignified way to achieve lasting peace for Palestine. Tinubu stressed that Palestinians deserve equal freedoms and dignity, calling for civilized values to prevail over fear and violence while urging global cooperation to build consensus and deny extremists the space to fuel conflict.
Highlighting Nigeria’s commitment to democracy and development, Tinubu emphasized the price of peace is eternal vigilance and sustainable growth. He noted Nigeria’s tough economic reforms aimed at inclusive prosperity as key to securing peace, emphasizing that the right investments must balance infrastructure and defense while supporting the many over the few.
