Tragic accident on Mittagspitze mountain; group rescues body by helicopter.
A 77-year-old German hiker died after falling nearly 100 meters while descending Austria’s Mittagspitze mountain near Tschagguns. He tripped on a rocky slope Sunday afternoon and sustained fatal injuries. Authorities recovered his body with helicopter aid; the rest of the group was unharmed.
