NUPENG THREATENS TO RESUME STRIKE OVER ALLEGED AGREEMENT BREACH BY DANGOTE GROUP

Union warns of renewed industrial action amid dispute over workers’ rights and loading rules.

The Nigeria Union of Petroleum and Natural Gas Workers (NUPENG) accused Dangote Group of violating a federal peace agreement after orders to remove union stickers and bypass loading protocols. NUPENG has placed members on red alert for a possible nationwide strike restart and called on labour groups and civil society to support workers’ rights and resist intimidation. The union urges government intervention to uphold industrial harmony.
