Dr. Mariya Mahmoud, Minister of State for FCT, at the 24th AGM of the Association of Paediatric Surgeons of Nigeria (Abuja Chapter), highlighted challenges like infrastructure gaps and limited specialists in paediatric surgery. She pledged stronger partnerships, improved training, and tech-driven solutions to expand quality surgical care and timely interventions for children across urban and rural areas. The association reaffirmed dedication to mentorship and addressing Nigeria’s critical surgeon shortage.
