NNPCL AIMS FOR $60BN INVESTMENT TO EXPAND NIGERIA’S GAS INFRASTRUCTURE

Nigeria targets major gas expansion to boost industrialisation and cement its role in global energy.

NNPCL CEO Bayo Ojulari announced plans to attract $60 billion in investment over the next 5-7 years to scale natural gas production to 12 billion cubic feet per day and increase refinery capacity. Key projects include the AKK pipeline, LNG expansions, and regional gas pipelines to Europe. The Petroleum Industry Act has transformed NNPCL into a company ready for global partnerships. Minister Ekperikpe Ekpo emphasized gas as central to Nigeria’s energy strategy and transitional bridge to renewables.
