Nigeria’s lithium industry grows as Tinubu backs Chinese investment in clean energy minerals.
President Bola Tinubu is set to commission a 6,000-metric-ton lithium processing plant in Nasarawa, doubling the capacity of the 2023 facility. Governor Abdullahi Sule said the project aligns with the state’s vision to become a lithium hub, boosted by Chinese investments and federal economic reforms fostering infrastructure and agriculture growth. The inauguration will follow the President’s return from France.
