Hook: New committee set to spearhead planning of Nigeria’s first National Council Meeting on humanitarian and poverty issues.
Federal Government launched a 12-member steering committee chaired by Dr. Yakubu Kofarmata to oversee the maiden National Council on Humanitarian Affairs/Poverty Reduction. Minister Yusuf Sununu emphasized the committee’s role in aligning outcomes with national priorities like the Renewed Hope Agenda to tackle insecurity, displacement, and poverty. Members were selected for their expertise to ensure a successful foundational meeting.
