VIPS GEAR UP FOR SAFER ROADS AT 8TH FRSC ANNUAL LECTURE IN ABUJA

When the big names gather, you know road safety is serious business—but with a dash of style and star power at Abuja’s Presidential Villa on Wednesday!

Abuja played host to top-tier traffic safety champions on Wednesday, September 3, 2025, as the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) held its 8th Annual Lecture Series. The event drew Nigeria’s heavyweight policy drivers, including Vice President Kashim Shettima and Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Sen. George Akume.
The spotlight was shared with Shehu Mohammed, the current Corps Marshal of the FRSC, flanked by his wife, Hajia Nafisat Shehu, and former Corps Marshal Chief Osita Chidoka—proving that road safety is truly a family affair. Transport Minister Sa’idu Alkali also showed up to underscore the government’s commitment to safer Nigerian roads.
Set at the iconic Presidential Villa, the gathering was both a celebration and a serious dive into curbing road accidents nationwide, with the stars of governance and law enforcement in one room. Safe roads, here we come!
