PTAD AND ICPC SEAL THE DEAL TO BOOST PENSION INTEGRITY

When pension oversight meets anti-corruption muscle, Nigerians stand to gain — a fresh pact signed to safeguard pension funds and crack down on fraud.

In a strategic move to protect Nigeria’s pension funds from corruption, the Pension Transitional Arrangement Directorate (PTAD) and the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Offences Commission (ICPC) inked a Memorandum of Understanding in Abuja on Tuesday, September 3, 2025. Executive Secretary Tolulope Odunaiya and ICPC Chairman Dr Musa Aliyu exchanged signatures to formalize their collaboration. The new alliance aims to tighten oversight, enhance transparency, and ensure that retirees get what’s due without bureaucratic hijinks or fraudsters siphoning funds. Nigerians can now look forward to stronger pension security backed by this high-profile partnership.
