CORRUPTION FIGHT GETS A MEDIA MAKEOVER: ABUJA HOSTS POWER ROUNDTABLE

When ministers, anti-graft chiefs, and top info gurus huddle, you know the war on corruption just got strategic—and seriously newsworthy.

Abuja played host to a high-powered roundtable on Wednesday (September 3, 2025), where the battle against corruption took center stage. The event, organized by the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC), gathered key players including Minister of Information and National Orientation Alhaji Mohammed Idris, ICPC Chairman Dr Musa Aliyu, Special Adviser to the President on Public Communication Mr Sunday Dare, and Prince Kayode Akiolu, Chairman of the House Committee on Anti-Corruption.
The goal? Crafting a strategy to rope in State Commissioners of Information for a coordinated, media-driven fight against corruption. With the communication heavyweights on board, the anti-corruption narrative is hitting a new gear, aiming to strengthen transparency and public awareness nationwide.
As the saying goes, “Information is power”—and Nigeria’s top watchdogs and communicators are ready to wield it.
