FINNISH COURT SENTENCES BIAFRA LEADER SIMON EKPA TO 6 YEARS FOR TERRORISM

Simon Ekpa, leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra Government in Exile, has been sentenced to six years in prison by a Finnish District Court on terrorism-related charges.

Earlier arrested in November 2024, Ekpa was found guilty of inciting terrorism and promoting violence via social media, actions linked to unrest in southeastern Nigeria. Finnish authorities also froze his and his associates’ assets during the investigation.
