Nigeria’s education system gets a practical, focused overhaul to enhance learning quality and relevance.
The Federal Government announced the finalized curriculum review across all education levels, led by Minister of State Prof. Suwaiba Ahmad. Developed with NERDC, UBEC, NBTE, and others, the new frameworks reduce subject overload and prioritize practical learning. Primary pupils now study 9–12 subjects, junior secondary 12–14, senior secondary 8–9, and technical schools 9–11, aiming for improved educational outcomes with close implementation monitoring.
