China and Nigeria reaffirm shared history and commitment to peace, unity, and global cooperation at WWII victory symposium.
Ambassador Yu Dunhai praised Nigeria’s steadfast support for the One-China policy as key to deepening China-Nigeria relations. Speaking at a historic commemoration in Abuja, he highlighted the post-war order’s role in Taiwan’s reunification and the joint responsibility of Global South nations to uphold peace and justice. He also honoured Nigerian soldiers’ WWII sacrifices and underscored China’s global initiatives for stability and win-win partnerships.
Experts stressed China’s resilience during the war as a blueprint for peace, unity, and anti-colonialism to inspire global multilateralism. The event featured a photo exhibition honoring war heroes’ sacrifices.
