NUJ’S NAN CHAPTER VOTES IN FRESH EXECS — DEMOCRACY AT WORK IN ABUJA!

Journalists turned voters, ballots in hand, and oaths sworn — the News Agency of Nigeria’s chapel just showed how to do elections the right way!

On Wednesday, the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) headquarters in Abuja buzzed with election fever as members of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) NAN-Chapel cast their votes for the 2025 executive team. Democracy was in full swing as journalists traded pens for ballots to shape their leadership for the year ahead.
Shortly after the polls closed, the newly elected executives took their oath of office, administered by Comrade Daniel Henry-Abimiku, NUJ Secretary’s representative, sealing their commitment to serve with integrity and zeal.
These moments captured by Jimah Suleman for NAN not only spotlight the democratic spirit within the journalism community but also remind us that behind every news story is a united team striving to elevate the profession.
