When the big wigs come calling, you know something exciting is brewing! Housing Minister Ahmed Dangiwa took a hands-on tour of Lekki and Lagos Free Trade Zones yesterday, sizing up the industrial heartbeat of Nigeria’s growth hubs.
On Thursday, August 28, 2025, a star-studded entourage led by Minister of Housing and Urban Development, Mr. Ahmed Dangiwa, made their rounds through the Lekki and Lagos Free Trade Zones. The team included key players like Yuan Zonggivang, Project Manager at Lekki Free Trade Zone; Dr. Shuaib Belgore, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry; Mrs. Funmilayo Olayiwola, Federal Controller of Housing Lagos; and MDs Adeniyi Akinlusi and Dai Shunfa from Lekki Worldwide Investment and Lekki Free Trade Zone respectively.
The inspection was a hands-on check to assess the industrial areas within these strategic economic zones, a move signalling the government’s keen interest in boosting infrastructure and housing development to match Nigeria’s industrial ambitions.
With this high-profile visit, it’s clear that Lekki and Lagos Free Trade Zones are not just buzzwords—they’re gearing up to be the next big hubs for business growth and urban development.
