Novak Djokovic battles back from a set down, while Emma Raducanu cruises to set up big third-round clashes at the US Open.
Djokovic overcame a shaky start to beat American qualifier Zachary Svajda 6-7, 6-3, 6-3, 6-1 and will face Britain’s Cameron Norrie next. Svajda’s leg injury slowed his strong early performance. Meanwhile, Raducanu moved comfortably past Janice Tjen 6-2, 6-1 — her first US Open win since her 2021 title — and now meets ninth seed Elena Rybakina.
Other highlights: Jessica Pegula powers on to face Victoria Azarenka, who hit a milestone 100 main-draw wins on hardcourts. Taylor Fritz and Frances Tiafoe also advanced, while Norwegian Casper Ruud suffered a shocking five-set exit. Defending champ Aryna Sabalenka looks to break her 2025 major drought under the lights.
