With a strong medal track record, Anambra’s athletes are geared up to top the charts again at the 9th National Youth Games.
Governor Chukwuma Soludo, represented by his wife Dr. Nonye Soludo, motivated 81 athletes and 45 officials before their departure to Asaba. He praised their past success—26 medals in 2024 with nine golds—and urged them to keep Anambra number one.
Though Anambra won’t compete in team events, the focus is on individual excellence as over 6,300 athletes gather for the games from August 29 to September 6.
