The Deji of Akure calls for a city-wide market shutdown to honour the historic Amole Festival tradition.
Oba Aladetoyinbo Aladelusi has ordered all markets, shops, and stalls in Akure to close this Friday as part of the Amole Festival rites. Only pharmacies and patent medicine stores will remain open. While trading halts, residents can move freely with no restrictions on people or vehicles during the festival.
