MADAGASCAR REACHES FIRST CHAN FINAL WITH EXTRA-TIME WIN OVER SUDAN

Madagascar made history by reaching their first-ever CHAN final, edging Sudan 1-0 in extra time thanks to a 116th-minute goal from substitute Toky Rakotondraibe in Dar es Salaam. Both teams fought hard in a tense battle, with goalkeepers making key saves and chances missed until the late breakthrough.

Madagascar, bronze medallists in 2022, now eye the title as they prepare to face either Morocco or Senegal in Saturday’s final in Nairobi. Coach Romuald Rakotondrabe credited his team’s unity and belief for the historic win. Sudan, despite heartbreak, showed resilience and will play for third place.
