OSUN GOVT DECLARES WEDNESDAY PUBLIC HOLIDAY FOR ISESE FESTIVAL

The Osun Government has declared Wednesday a public holiday for the annual Isese traditional festival, allowing worshippers of Yoruba traditional religion to celebrate fully. Commissioner Abdulrasheed Aderibigbe said the day honors the state’s rich cultural heritage and promotes unity.

Governor Ademola Adeleke extended warm wishes to festival participants, urging respect and lawfulness during the celebrations. Since its 2014 declaration in Osun, Isese Day has been recognised by other Southwest states as an important cultural and religious event.
