Power Voices Take on TB: Community Joins Forces for Early Detection in Akwa Ibom

In a spirited push against tuberculosis (TB), the Community Advocacy Club, known as Power Voices, teamed up with the AIDS Healthcare Foundation (AHF) and KNCV Tuberculosis Foundation to spark awareness and action in Ibesikpo, Akwa Ibom. The campaign focused on boosting community knowledge, promoting early diagnosis, and ramping up local responses to the stubborn disease. Staff from AHF were hands-on, examining beneficiaries on the spot, making sure no symptom goes unnoticed. It’s grassroots health activism at its best – proving that when communities unite, even the toughest diseases face a tough fight.
