The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has deployed 20,850 officers to protect lives, election materials, and critical infrastructure during Saturday’s by-elections across 16 constituencies in 12 states. NSCDC Commandant-General Ahmed Audi emphasized a peaceful, professional operation in partnership with the Nigeria Police Force, the lead agency for election security.
Audi urged all voters to exercise their franchise peacefully and affirmed the corps’ commitment to safeguarding the electoral process and respecting citizens’ rights.
