FCTA DEMOLISHES CRIMINAL HIDEOUT IN APO TO BOOST SECURITY

The Federal Capital Territory Administration’s City Sanitation Taskforce has torn down a notorious criminal hideout in Apo Resettlement, Abuja, tackling one of the city’s identified “dark spots” linked to killings and crime. Director of Development Control, Mukhtar Galadima, revealed the area posed a serious threat to residents due to armed robbery and drug peddling.

Security officials confirmed locals had reported increasing violent activities, including an attack by over 50 armed robbers recently thwarted by swift police response. This demolition is part of ongoing operations across Abuja to clear illegal structures and make the city safer.
