NIPR AVIATION HUB LAUNCHES STRATEGY TO TACKLE UNRULY PASSENGERS

The Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) Aviation Hub is teaming up with key aviation stakeholders like NCAA, FAAN, and the Ministry of Aviation to curb rising unruly passenger incidents that threaten safety and disrupt air travel. Chairman Basil Agboarumi says the plan focuses on extensive staff training in conflict resolution, cultural sensitivity, and crisis communication, paired with a public awareness campaign promoting respectful travel behaviour.

The strategy also includes strict enforcement measures such as a national No-Fly List for repeat offenders and potential prosecutions. A new Aviation Passenger Conduct Task Force will monitor trends and advise policy updates. Media backing is crucial to spread the message of safer, courteous skies. As Nigeria’s aviation sector cleans up its image, passengers are urged to respect regulations and help report misconduct.
