The Nigerian Correctional Service (NCoS) is working closely with sister security agencies to recapture 16 inmates who broke out of the Medium Security Custodial Centre in Keffi, Nasarawa State. So far, seven have been caught and returned. The Comptroller General, Sylvester Nwakuche, has launched an investigation into how the escape happened.
Security has been tightened around the facility and community, with reassurance given that calm and order have been restored. Authorities urge residents not to panic as efforts continue to bring all escapees back into custody swiftly.
