The Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) has strongly condemned the reckless and unlawful treatment of Comfort Emmanson aboard Ibom Air, calling it a serious violation of her dignity and privacy. NBA slammed the public stripping, humiliating filming, and online circulation of indecent images as degrading and criminal, demanding those responsible be prosecuted. They criticized Ibom Air’s lifetime ban on Emmanson as excessive and said only regulators can restrict flying privileges.
The NBA is calling for the ban’s immediate lifting, a public apology from Ibom Air, and a thorough investigation by aviation authorities and security agencies. They’ve also pledged pro bono legal support to Emmanson to fight for her rights and justice.
