Google has teamed up with GOMYCODE to launch “Build with AI,” an 11-week program aimed at equipping 1,000 Nigerian developers with cutting-edge Generative AI skills. This initiative seeks to fast-track Nigeria’s role in the global AI economy by providing access to advanced tools like Gemini and expert-led training that blends in-person classes with hands-on labs.
The programme targets key sectors such as fintech, healthtech, and agritech, empowering developers to build locally relevant, globally competitive innovations. Google’s John Kimani calls it a tech renaissance, while GOMYCODE’s Babatunde Olaifa highlights the vision to nurture homegrown solutions that can impact Nigeria and beyond. Applications are now open, culminating in a demo day showcasing top AI-powered projects.
