The Ogun State government says it is not aware of any sealing of former Governor and Senator Gbenga Daniel’s property, clarifying that notices seen were stop and quit warnings, not actual sealing. Commissioner Tunji Odunlami urged the senator to send a representative to the relevant office to verify documents and get the required clearance.
Odunlami emphasized that the government strictly follows established procedures before sealing any property, including physical marking and pasting proper sealing notices. This enforcement is part of a wider state effort to regulate urban development fairly and lawfully across Abeokuta, Shagamu, Ijebu-Ode, Ota, and Ilaro, applying to all building owners regardless of their status.
